I chose the Strelitzia due to its natural use of colour the bright yellow and orange in the flower itself with the blue, green and purple present in the stem. A perfect example of complimentary colour in nature. 
I represented the colour proportion in the image above, relating it to a sunset. Both the natural landscape and the flower can be seen in the above image (hopefully :P)
The image below is an adaptation of this colour scheme to a veiw of Barragan's house and studio.
